Master Tetteh Frank, a form two student of Presec-Legon was adjudged the best during Azumahâ€™s youth empowerment tour in the Greater Accra Region on Thursday July 9 in front of his colleagues.
Students drawn from Accra Academy, Accra Girls, Labone and St Thomas Aquinas gathered at the Presbyterian Boys auditorium to listen to the touching message from the iconic boxing figure.
The boxing legend wrapped up the 1st edition of â€˜Time with the Professorâ€™ on Friday 10th July in Cape Coast where the boys prefect of Adisadel College, Master Bismark Boakye, stood tall amongst his peers to win the one-year educational scholarship.
The scene in Cape Coast was a great spectre as over 14 schools including Mfantsipm, St Augustines College, Adisadel College, Christ the King, Mfantsiman Girls, Holy Child, Ghana National College, Morrie, Edinaman SHS amongst others filled the main hall of Aggrey Memorial A.M.E Zion school to catch a glimpse and listen to the three-time WBC Super featherweight champion of the world.
â€˜Time with the Professorâ€™ series took Azumah Nelson to four regions including Greater Accra, Eastern, Ashanti and Central Regions as he interacted with students, sharing his experiences which made him the WBC greatest Super featherweight of all-time.
During the four-week tour, Azumah inspired the students with his moving story which evolved around dedication, commitment, discipline and perseverance and encouraged students to aspire to greater heights in their chosen fields of endeavours by imbibing such tenets.
Azumah Nelson rose from obscurity to international fame as a result of determination, staying focus, character, discipline and mental fortitude amongst other positive traits and these and more are what he intends to share with the young generation.
